International Swim Center Expansion | City of Santa Clara
Initial Study
The City of Santa Clara is known for its competitive swimming programs and is home to many Olympic athletes. The City currently owns and operates the International Swim Center (ISC) and the Community Recreation Center located within Central Park. In 2016, the City approved the expansion of the ISC.
DJP&A completed the Initial Study for the project. The project will demolish the existing ISC and CRC and construct a new 171,650 square foot combined facility. The existing International Swimming Hall of Fame will be relocated from Florida to the new facility. The new facility will include one competition dive pool, two 50 meter competition pools, a gymnasium, a 400-seat theater, and other amenities. This new facility is expected to attract tens of thousands of spectators annually for both national and international competitions.
