North Bayshore Master Plan | City of Mountain View

Subsequent Environmental Impact Report

<p style=”text-align: justify;”>In June 2023, Google and LendLease were approved for the largest single development project in the City of Mountain View. The North Bayshore Master Plan will redevelop 153 acres in the North Bayshore Precise Plan area of Mountain View with up to 7,000 residential units (including 15 percent affordable units), over 3.0 million square feet of office space, over 26 acres of open space, about 300,000 square feet of retail and community space, and 525 hotel rooms. The project includes six district parking garages, about 3.7 miles of new on- and off-street bicycle paths, new pedestrian improvements, and landscaping. In addition, the project includes an option for private district utility systems, including a water reuse facility for wastewater and recycled water. Development of the project would be completed in multiple phases over a period of 30 years.

<p style=”text-align: justify;”>Given our expertise in completing environmental review for projects in the North Bayshore Precise Plan area, DJP&A was selected to complete the Subsequent EIR for the North Bayshore Master Plan project for the City. DJP&A worked closely with City staff to prepare the EIR for this complex project, which focused on impacts to air quality, biological resources, greenhouse gas emissions, transportation, and utilities.
