Moffett Park Specific Plan | City of Sunnyvale

Environmental Impact Report


In 2023, the City of Sunnyvale authorized a comprehensive update to the 1,270-acre Moffett Park Specific Plan which allows for a net increase of 20,000 residential units (where there are none today), 650,000 square feet of commercial uses, 10 million square feet of office/industrial/R&D uses, and 200,000 square feet of institutional uses beyond what is existing and approved. The Specific Plan now features over 200 acres of open space and emphasizes transit use and walkability/bikeability.

DJP&A prepared an EIR for the project, working closely with Live Oak Associates, Farallon Consulting, Illingworth & Rodkin, and the City to ensure the project’s impacts to sensitive habitat/species, hazardous materials contamination, and air quality were accurately evaluated and properly mitigated.
