International Swim Center Expansion | City of Santa Clara
Initial Study
The City of Santa Clara is known for its competitive swimming programs and is home to many Olympic athletes. The City currently owns and operates the International Swim Center (ISC) and the Community Recreation Center (CRC) located within Central Park. In 2016, the City approved the expansion of the ISC.
DJP&A completed the Initial Study for the project. The project demolished the existing ISC and CRC and constructed a new 171,650 square foot combined facility. The International Swimming Hall of Fame was relocated from Florida to the new facility. The new facility includes one competition dive pool, two 50 meter competition pools, a gymnasium, a 400-seat theater, and other amenities. This new facility attracts tens of thousands of spectators annually for both national and international competitions.
