Jared Bond | Project Manager/Biologist
Jared joined DJP&A in 2013 after working as a Senior Ecological Resource Specialist for the County of Riverside Environmental Programs Division where he was responsible for managing the County’s environmental programs division and implementing the County’s habitat conservation plans. He has over 10 years of experience in natural resource management and environmental land use planning and has also had extensive field experience as a Wildlife Biologist with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Programs Division.
Jared holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Arizona. He has obtained a Recovery Permit from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to survey for endangered fairy shrimp and a Scientific Collection Permit from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife. Jared is also sub-permitted under a federal Bird Binding Permit to trap and bind raptors in the State of California. Some of Jared’s recent projects include the North Bayshore Precise Plan in the City of Mountain View, the Sunnyslope County Water District LAFCO Annexation, and the Capital Toyota Redevelopment Project in San José.
He also prepares biological assessments and provides environmental compliance support including conducting pre-construction nesting bird and raptor surveys, construction monitoring, and worker awareness training. Jared completed a biological resources report and Burrowing Owl Mitigation Plan for the Shoreline Maintenance Storage Plan project in the City of Mountain View as well as provided construction monitoring for the City of Cupertino.
Jared’s on-the-ground expertise in biological resources combined with his understanding of the planning process and CEQA makes him a valuable addition to the DJP&A team.
